Exhibitor Prospectus

 

ARIPEX 2009  

 

The exhibition is open to all collectors, regardless of philatelic affiliation and/or residence. The whole of every competitive exhibit shall be the bona fide property of the exhibitor.

 

Exhibits may be entered in any of the Classes sanctioned by the APS. The youth class is limited to age 18 and under. The adult class exhibits shall be a minimum of one frame and a maximum of 10 frames. Postcard Exhibits will be accepted as non-competitive only.

Exhibits will be set up at Tucson Convention Center (TCC), Thursday, January 22, 2009. Exhibitors desiring to mount their own material should arrive at the TCC at 3PM. Set up is from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Mailed exhibits, along with mounting instructions, must be sent registered or insured mail to ARIPEX 2009, c/o Exhibits Chairman, John Wynns, 3518 S Mission Rd, Unit 4, Tucson., AZ 85713-5682.

 

Exhibits will be mounted in 16-page vertical frames, four rows of four 9 x 12 pages per frame. All exhibits will be mounted under the supervision of the Exhibits Committee. Exhibitors are encouraged to mount their own material. Counterfeit and/or bogus material must be clearly designated.

 

Once mounted, exhibits may not be removed prior to 4:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2009 and may be removed thereafter by owner or agent when released by the Exhibits Committee. Unless otherwise instructed, mailed exhibits will be returned by first class registered mail. Please include the necessary return postage and fees with your frame remittance.

 

The Exhibits Committee may, at their sole discretion reject any exhibit.

 

Owners must provide their own insurance. The ARIPEX 2009 Committee, the Arizona Federation of Stamp Clubs, the Tucson Convention Center, and any of their members, affiliates, or employees shall not be liable for any damages to, or loss of any exhibit material arising from any cause or reason. Reasonable and practical precautions will be taken to protect the property of the exhibitors.

 

The Board of Judges for ARIPEX 2009 will be composed of APS accredited judges. Each exhibit will be judged on its own merits. The decision of the judges shall be final and without appeal.

 

Applications to exhibit must be made on the ARIPEX 2009 entry form. Eight copies of your title page and/or synopsis plus all required entry fees must be submitted to the Exhibits Chairman. The title pages and synopsis will be distributed to the judging panel prior to the opening of ARIPEX 2009 so that they may be prepared to view and evaluate the exhibits.
